Hike through cloudy forests and stunning sightseeings. During this amazing hike through the Gran Vilaya, you will visit mysterious archaeological pre-Inca sites like the Sarcofagos de Karajia and the amazing Kuelap Fortress which is located in between magical mountains. Day 1: Pueblo de los Muertos / Sarcophagi of Karajía / Camping at the Belen Valley
We will pick you from your hotel in Chachapoyas to bring you until the province of Luya. At this town we will begin our amazing trek through the magical paths of the Gran Vilaya. We will hike during aproximate two hours until we reach el archaeologica site of el Pueblo de los Muertos. Here we will visit the mysterious sarcophagis and mausoleums of the Chachapoyas culture. After this visit, we will recharge our energy with a delicious box lunch. Then we will continue our adventure until we reach Cruz Pata, our starting point to visit the impresive Sarcophagi of Karajia. We will hike up the mountain to reach them, but it will worth because you will have an amazing view and discover one of our jewel of our peruvian archaeology.
After this amazing discovery, our transport will bring us to the beautiful Belen Valley. Here we will have our overnight in a tradicional cottage.
Day 3: Congón Town / Lanche archaeological site / Yumal / Choctamal.
After our local breakfast, we will begin our adventure of this day with horseriding through the cloudy forest ( two hours approximately) while you observe the unique fauna and flora of this part of our peruvian jungle. Afterwards, we will hike around one hour and a half to reach the archaeological site of Lanche. After our visit, we will take our box lunch. Then we will ride again our horses upto the Yumal pass. Here we will hike again until we get to the Choctamal town, where we will have the chance to take warm shower. Dinner and overnight included.
Day 4: Choctamal / Kuelap Fortress / Tingo / Chachapoyas
Local breakfast included.
Then our transport will take us to the amazing Kuelap Fortress. This majestic archaeological site of the Chachapoyas, has impressive walls which reach around 20 meters high. Our guide will show you how the Chachapoyas lived at those years in this beautiful place.
After this visit, we will hike approximately two hours and a half until we reach the town of Tingo. Here we will take lunch and visit its archaeological site of Macro, which is located above a little mountain near the Utcubamba river. After this, our transport we bring us again to Chachapoyas.

Day 2: Belen Valley / Pirquilla archaeological site / Congón Town
After our delicious local breakfast we will begin our hike, starting from the beautiful Belen Valley until we find a pre Inca trail which will bring us until the archaeological site of Pirquilla. This site belongs to the Gran Vilaya archaeologica complex, which is located in the middle of a beautiful cloudy forest. Here, you will appreciate wonderful flora and fauna.
After this visit, we will enjoy our delicios box lunch, while appreciating this majestic place.
Then, we will continue our hike through the cloudy forest until we reach the Congón town. At this peaceful town, where it´s well know because they produce a delicious organic coffee, you will have the chance to taste it. After sharing an afternoon with the friendly people of the town, we will take a delicious local dinner and the sleep to charge energy for the next day.
