DAY 1 : AREQUIPA / PAMPA SAN MIGUEL / SAN JUAN DE CHUCCHO
You will be picked up from 03:00 to 03:30 am from the hotel to transfer to the Colca Valley. The trip will take us approximately 4 hours to Chiva, where we will make a stop of approximately 10 minutes.
Then we will continue the trip to Cabanaconde where we will have lunch. Here will start our descend to the Colca Canyon, which will take us approximately 3 to 4 hours. During the trip we will be able to appreciate the diverse vegetation between Andean and tropical. Also the geological formation of the amazing Colca Canyon.
Once at the bottom of the canyon, we will cross the bridge to reach the town of San Juan de Chuccho. Here we will spend the night in one of the houses of the villagers, conditioned to attend the tourists.
DAY 2 : SAN JUAN / SANGALLE (OASIS)
We will have breakfast and then we will start our tour again, we will ascend 300 meters approximately. Then we will arrive to the villages, first Cosnihua and then Malata, where we will spend pleasant moments with the villagers. Again descend to Sangalle (oasis), magical place, full of high Andean vegetation mixed with tropical vegetation, where thanks to a spring of warm water you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the pools located in this beautiful place (the waters have a temperature of approx. 18 º C). Local lunch included. Overnight in basic cabins.
DAY 3 : OASIS / CABANACONDE /CHIVAY / AREQUIPA
03:00 to 4:00 am We will start the ascent (approx. 1300 meters) which will take us approximately 3 hours. Arriving at Cabanaconde, we will have a delicious local breakfast, and then depart to the Cruz del Condor, where we will stay for approximately one hour. Here we will be able to appreciate the majestic flight of the Andean Condor. Then we will continue enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Colca Valley until we arrive to Chivay. Once there, we will visit the thermal baths of La Calera, whose thermal medicinal waters have a temperature of 35 to 40ºC.
Then we will have lunch in Chivay and return to Arequipa arriving approximately at 17:00.
