Visit the ancient Maras´salt mines of the Incas, where you will appreciate the process of extraction of the natural Salt. And Moray, a mysterious place that the Incas constructed to improve its agriculture.
Both touristic attractions, Maras and Moray are located at the beautiful Sacred Valley. This valley was very important at the Inca times, because of its wonderful weather for its diverse agriculture. That’s why in the middle of big mountains the Salt mines of Maras was constructed. Here you can buy salt directly from the producers. Also you can find salts with andean herbs perfect to include in your kitchen.
After the visit of this amazing place, we will continue our adventure until we get to the mysterious Moray. Its circular terraces have various hypotheses, but the most credible one is, that this contruction was made to create different temperatures. So the Incas can plant several kinds of corns, potatoes and andean cereals like the Kiwicha and the Quinoa. After our visit to this wonderful places, we will make a stop at the Chincheros weavers town. At this town you will have the chance to buy beautiful handmade bags, mats and ponchos.
