Our adventure to the Rainbow Mountain of Palccoyo begins with your pickup from your hotel around 4:30 a.m. We will then travel in our tour bus approximately 110 kilometers (about 68 miles) southeast for about 3 hours.
Before we begin, you will receive a brief briefing on the details of the hike. Then we will enjoy a delicious local breakfast to be ready for your hike.
At 9:00 a.m., we will arrive at the starting point of our hike. Our guides will be there to assist you if you are not feeling well due to the altitude.
Around 9:30 a.m., we will begin our hike to the Rainbow Mountain. You will walk approximately 1 kilometer (0.6 miles), an easy hike for all ages. This hike will take about 45 minutes (depending on your physical condition, of course), during which you will be accompanied by a beautiful view of the Palccoyo mountain range.
At approximately 10:15 a.m., we will arrive at the Rainbow Mountain viewpoint. You will have time to enjoy and connect with the beautiful colorful mountains.
After this amazing experience, we will walk to the Stone Forest. You will arrive at this fascinating geological formation around 11:00 a.m.
At 12:00 p.m., your lunch will be ready. You will eat while enjoying the beautiful mountain ranges.
At 1:00 p.m., we will begin our return trip to the parking lot. From there, we will head to the Red Valley where you will enjoy other spectacular views of these beautiful mountains. We will leave the Red Valley around 2:30 p.m. You will return to your hotel in Cusco around 5:30 p.m.
